NFL Wild Card Predictions
On Saturday, we have No. 5 Bills at No. 4 Texans that kicks off at 4:35 p.m. The lines are showing the Texans as the favorite at -3 with the Total at 43. This game will see an underrated defense going against an elite offense. Performance and skill wise, the teams are equal matches, but we’ll see if the home-field advantage can pull in a win for the Texans. Most will go for the Texans at -3 for this one.
Later in the evening at 8:15 PM, The No. 6 Titans will play at No. 3 Patriots. Again, home team Patriots are the favorite at -5. With Total at 44.5. The Patriots have been losing on very critical games, most recently the Week 17 game versus Miami, but Tom Brady could probably turn the tide around. Despite their home-field advantage, their lack of experience in the Wild Card, plus the Titan’s smart offense, there’s a good chance the Patriots may lose this one. We may as well go against the tide and go for the Titans at +5.
More Wild Card Picks
Sunday at 11:05 PM brings us the No. 6 Vikings at No. 3 Saints, with the Saints as -7.5 and the total at 50. In a string of unfortunate luck, the Saints have landed in the Wild Card despite their amazing performance this season. The Saints have only lost twice at home, so this may be a good sign for them, especially with the Vikings 4-4 on the road. The Saints would be a good pick at -7.5 here.
Lastly, you have the game between No. 5 Seahawks at No. 4 Eagles at 4:40 PM. Seahawks are -1.5 and the Total is at 45. The Seahawks are struggling with a roster issue as their top three running backs have been out on injuries, with other players stepping up to hold the ship afloat. But their offense is something to look forward to, so, surprisingly, and rarely seen in some pay per head sportsbooks, an away team is a favorite, and a pick, with Seahawks at -1.5.
