Fox Sports Disrespects the Redskins

The Washington Redskins is one of the oldest franchises in the NFL. It dates back to 1932 when it used to be known as the Boston Braves. Since then, the franchise won five world championships, including 3 Super Bowls.

The franchise is not fortunate in recent years. The team’s name continues to spark controversy. In addition, the team is not doing good on the field. However, the Redskins are still part of the league. However, Fox Sports seems to have forgotten about them.

Fox Sports posted a tweet before the Packers vs Bears game announcing football is back. Every team had a at least one player in the photo, except for the Washington Redskins. In fact, the Atlanta Falcons had two players in the photo. Many bookie pay per head providers think it was not a simple oversight from the designer or Fox Sports.

Fox Sports Omits the Redskins

If you count the number of heads in the photo, there are 32. Also, there are 32 teams in the NFL. However, there’s no representative from Washington. Instead, there were two players from Atlanta

Fox Sports is working on an updated image. Also, they will release it this weekend in time for its Sunday coverage of the NFL. Sports news blogs are speculating who the graphic designer will include in the updated image. Some of the top picks are Ryan Kerrigan, Jonathan Allen, London Collins, and Josh Norman.

However, Redskins fans are upset by the oversight. Some even made their own image to correct the error made by Fox Sports. According to pay per head experts, the Redskins are 10-point underdogs going into their game against the Eagles. It will be a good rallying point for the team to prove their critics wrong and do well this season.
